Axminster Tools & Machinery is continually enlarging and updating its range of metalworking tools and machinery, and will be displaying some new and exciting products at the MACH 2016 show in April at the NEC Birmingham.

MACH’s organisers (Manufacturing Technologies Association or MTA for short) describe the exhibition as the outstanding showcase for advances in the manufacturing industry. The MTA is a UK trade association dealing specifically with engineering based manufacturing. It is a biennial exhibition which brings together all the best innovations and latest developments to come from the manufacturing technologies sectors under one roof.

At the 2014 show over 6,500 tonnes of live working machinery were on display, attracting over 23,000 visitors representing diverse sections across the UK manufacturing sector. With over 600 companies exhibiting, a staggering £177m of business was attributed to MACH 2014 and, according to the organisers, 2016 promises to be bigger and better with new zones, innovative technologies and a vibrant seminar programme.

Axminster will be showcasing the new Jet Elite lathes, mills and bandsaws on the stand. Jet has designed and created the Elite range of machinery to meet the challenges of a tough environment. These efficient and powerful machines offer a total package of precision, durability and safety which widely exceeds market standards.

The Company will also be displaying machines from two of its own ranges: Axminster CNC Technology Series iKX3 mill and iKC6 lathe, together with substantial pillar drills and a bandsaw from the Axminster Engineer Series.

Engineering experts Mark Vincent and Bob Rolph will be on hand to answer any technical questions about the machines. Bob, with over 35 years of engineering experience, is eminently qualified to answer virtually any engineering related queries. Experienced demonstrator Mark will be showing how to make a part using the CNC mill and lathe. Bob and Mark will be supported by members of the Business Services team who will be able to talk through pricing and Axminster’s flexible and affordable finance options if required.
