Embark on your woodturning journey with our two day beginners woodturning course. Learn from your experienced tutor who will guide you through the tools, equipment and accessories you need to create delightful pieces from wood.
What you will learn
Encompassing the basics in woodturning, your two days will cover sharpening techniques, drilling on the lathe and parting off techniques. Furthermore you’ll discuss and learn finishing techniques to enable your designs to really stand out. Finishes include friction polishes, sealers, waxes and oils. With guidance from your tutor, you will gain hands-on experience throughout the course.

Items you take home can change depending on the resources and materials available on the day.
You will start your day with a welcome talk, including a hot drink, health and safety brief and a breakdown and review of the equipment you will be using.
No woodturning experience needed.
