The Axminster Skill Centre has added a new course to its Engineering range of courses.

The two day Machining Castings course begins in January 2014 and is aimed at anyone wanting to get into or go further with model engineering.  Tutored by Bob Rolph who has over thirty years of engineering experience and rebuilds classic motor cycles in his spare time, the course covers areas such as machine holding, setting out and material identification. Teaching groups are no larger than five or six students. Students are also given a 5% discount on any tools they buy during the course.

As with all Skill Centre courses , the price covers lunch, refreshments, course materials and use of equipment and tools within the workshop.

Bob also teaches other engineering courses including Introduction to Milling, Introduction to the Small Lathe and an intensive five day engineering course.
