Operation

The Leigh B975 Box Joint and Beehive Jig is incredibly precise and for convenience, it can be used with or without a router table. The fit of the joint is all done with the included eBushing. Unlike plain circular guide bushings, the barrel of the patented eBushing is elliptical. When rotated, the effective diameter of the barrel changes. This allows fit adjustments as small as 0.25mm (.001") which helps to make the perfect joint.

Simple Jig Operation

For complete flexibility and ease of use, it is simple to guide your router around the 1/2"comb or the 3/4" comb of the template to rout accurate box joints.

Router Table Operation

Alternatively, the router jig is well suited to router table use. This method provides an accurate and fast way to rout box joints. Please bear in mind there are a couple of factors to consider if using in a router table. Unlike typical router table set ups where a bearing or fence is used, the Leigh B975 Jig is guided around a guide bushing. The guide bushings, known as Leigh eBushes, are mounted directly in the router table. You will therefore need an insert ring to fit the eBush to your router plate or router table.

To fit the eBush to your router table insert plate, you will need a 1-3/8" diameter counter bore insert ring. In order to determine whether any adaptation, if any, is necessary, please check with your router table manufacturer for more details.

Simple instructions

To ensure you set up and use the router jig properly, all jig functions are detailed in the fully illustrated user guide. There is also a detailed instructional DVD which will take you through everything you need to know, step-by-step.
