Marking out is one of the basic requirements of accurate work. Most of the techniques are straightforward, but sometimes they don’t go quite according to plan. In this video, we’ll look at marking lines, particularly when used for the shoulder lines in making a dovetail joint. Lines that don’t meet are deliberately highlighted by using a tapered piece of wood as an example.
