Hello everyone,

What would you do if you needed to create items such as legs or standard lamps which are longer than your lathe capacity? Watch my demonstration of how to use the Axminster Long Hole Boring system for joining – and see how simple it can be!

Let me know your feedback and any questions you might have in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Hi Colwin, thoroughly enjoyed your video, most informative and has given me the incentive for a new project once the gear arrives. Brgds Rick -Italy

interesting system – i kind of gave up on long hole boring as it was always so inaccurate – found alternatives – this looks as if it dosent have that problem.
Using mortices for long turning is a brilliant idea – the only problem i found was it was just a bit inaccurate – so i used some 3mm oversize and shaved the work down to fit – this looks as if it avoids that problem though if you are turning much larger stuff you would need a bigger tenon – mind you though that size should hold up well under most circumstances.

Your presentation was so clear and helpful that I went out and bought it all. Thank you. Axminster would do well to bundle all the various bits together to sell as one item.
